Thirteen Seconds in Ohio

On May 4th, 1970, Ohio National Guardsman sent in by then Governor Jim Rhodes continued to pull the trigger for thirteen seconds while firing sixty-seven bullets into a crowd of students. Nine were injured and another four were killed.

We remember those fallen students:
Allison Krause
Jeffrey Miller
Sandra Scheuer
William Knox Schroeder

Moved by the incident, Neil Young wrote this song the very same day and, after David Crosby convinced him that they had to record it immediately, flew to Los Angeles and went into the studio. The song was finished the next day and was on the charts within a week.

I went to school there almost a decade after the fact. Of course, Kent had been trying to live that down ever since it happened. The memorial for the four students was placed at the back of a parking lot between the Student center and Prentis (sp?) hall. I was horrified that the marker was so small.
I also remember another friend who wore a shirt with a large bulls eye on the front and back that said Kent State Student.
Let it be noted that 3 of four of these kids were Jewish.

"Let it be noted that 3 of four of these kids were Jewish".

So, what is that supposed to mean? Are you insinuating this tragedy was a targeted action against Jews? Forgive me, but I really don´t see your point. Doesn´t really matter where they were from, what religion they practiced or even what kind of acid they were on. Only thing that matters at all is the obvious:
they were kids.
